Batgirl And Catwoman Slot Machine

Batman Rogues Gallery is a 5 reel slot machine that was developed by Aristocrat and is available in land based casinos.

It is that version of this timeless superhero story that is the inspiration for the Batgirl & Catwoman slot machine. Introduced at G2E 2017, this Aristocrat-created game takes two of the iconic characters from the show and builds an entire game around them.

The name refers to all of the villains that Batman has faced over the years, which is an extensive list. But this slot machine only focuses on major characters / villains from the 1960s Batman TVseries.

Starring Adam West as Batman and Burt Ward as Robin, the Batman TV show became famous for its camp style, comical acting, and lighthearted approach to the superhero genre.

The show only lasted three seasons before ABC canceled it. NBC was set to resume the series, until finding out that the show’s sets – which cost hundreds of thousands of dollars – had beendestroyed.

Despite its short run, Batman reruns have continued throughout the decades, helping the show remain relevant. Movies series from the 1990s and the 2000s have further enhanced the popularity ofGotham City’s favorite hero.

Is Aristocrat’s slot machine destined to be another memorable piece of Batman history? Or is it just a generic game trying to capitalize on the caped crusader’s image?

Find out as we cover Batman Rogues Gallery’s cabinet, symbols, graphics, animations, bonuses, and comparisons to other Batman slots.

Marvel and DC rule the roost when it comes to comic books. Disney bought Marvel Comics back in 2009 and helped to bring the MCU to the forefront of Hollywood entertainment. The DCEU isn’t quite as big but the MCU but still packs a punch in terms of characters and storylines.

But have you ever thought about DC Comics in the world of online gambling? In this list, we’ll be looking at some of DC Comic’s best slots games on and offline.

Catwoman

Aquaman
The King of the Seven Seas has often been the butt of jokes in the comic book world but in 2018, Aquaman made his solo MCU debut and gained some much-needed credibility. Playtech developed a tie-in slot game for the film with a host of exciting features.

(Fun fact: Aquaman was once the leader of the Justice League)

Batman & The Batgirl Bonanza
The first of two Batman-themed slot games in the list and the first physical video slot game. Batman & The Batgirl Bonanza is based on the classic 60s series starring Adam West and Burt Wald. Batgirl first appeared in the third series, played by Yvonne Craig. The Batman & The Batgirl Bonanza is a progressive slot which means the jackpots can reach into the millions.

(Fun fact: Batman is the nickname of Premier League betting player Michy Batshuayi)

Justice League
The Justice League is the original home of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman, and the Martian Manhunter but there have been umpteen changes in the comic books. The film adaptation replaced the Martian Manhunter for Cyborg and the Green Lantern for The Flash. Unfortunately, the film lost $60m at the box office after becoming one of the most expensive movies ever made.

Perhaps Warner Bros. should have invested their money in the Justice League slot game, developed by Playtech (who also made Batman & The Batgirl Bonanza). The slot served as another movie tie-in and is more popular in the casino world than the movie world with placements on some of the biggest online casinos on the internet.

(Fun fact: The Justice League-inspired Marvel to create The Fantastic Four after the JLA’s initial success)

Green Lantern
Another movie bomb (so bad Ryan Reynolds switched universes and became Deadpool), Green Lantern first came onto the scene in the 40s and has gone through numerous different heroes. The most famous of them is Hal Jordan. But that Green Lantern is one of many in a group known as Green Lantern Corps. They’re like green space cops.

The slot game was – you guessed it – another movie tie-in created by Playtech. It’s no longer offered on online casinos but there is another Green Lantern slot game. That one is provided by NextGen and it’s based on the comic book although it isn’t that popular either.

(Fun fact: you know how Superman can’t penetrate lead with his powers? Well, Green Lantern has the same thing with the colour yellow.)

Man of Steel
Let’s get this out of the way: Man of Steel slot game? Another Playtech movie tie-in. As the name suggests, it was based on the 2013 adaptation of the same name and starred Henry Cavill in the titular role. The slot game is quite challenging with a large house edge meaning you’re less likely to win than on this than on your average slot game. But this is Superman, you’d have to be a Kryptonian to defeat him.

Hellboy
Of all the slots in the list, Hellboy is one of the most obscure. In fact, Hellboy is neither Marvel nor DC. The character comes from Dark Horse, responsible for The Mask, Sin City, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The slot game was created in 2010 by Microgaming. Unlike the others, this was one was based on an animated film series.

(Fun fact: For the 2004 movie, some theatres retitled it Hellboy to appease viewers who didn’t like the hellish association)

Superman: The Movie
The second Superman slot on the list inspired the original film classic from 1978. It starred Christopher Reeve in his first major role alongside a star-studded cast including Marlon Brando, Gene Hackman, Margot Kidder, and Terence Stamp. And yes, it’s another Playtech creation with a healthy jackpot. It features elements from the movie including Lex Luthor, the Hoover Dam, and the Fortress of Solitude. Cool!

(Fun fact: Superman once erased Lois Lane’s mind with a kiss in Action Comics #306)

The Flash
The fastest man on the planet (if you don’t count Superman, who’s raced him a few times in the past), The Flash has been the name of a few people on multiple Earth’s. The four men to don the red suit are Jay Garrick, Barry Allen, Wally West, and Bart Allen. There are two Flash slot games on the internet – one by Playtech (quelle surprise) and the other by NextGen. The former launched in April 2019 and the latter in 2016. It appears neither are that popular only being offered by 5 casinos between them.

(Fun fact: Mark Hamill – aka Luke Skywalker – starred as “The Trickster” in the 90s TV series.)

The Dark Knight Rises
The final part of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises didn’t “rise” to the heights of The Dark Knight but it did give us another sexy Catwoman (minus catnip or a pink apartment) and Bane with a hodge-podge accent. Microgaming was the developers for this slot game back in 2013. It’s relatively popular and comes with a nice top prize. You could be as rich as Bruce Wayne.

Batgirl And Catwoman Slot Machine Toy

(Fun fact: Christian Bale said he wouldn’t have returned for the movie if Robin was anywhere near it.)

Wonder Woman Bullets & Bracelets
And last but not least, it’s Wonder Woman. This one has nothing to do with the film adaptation starring Gal Gadot but harks back to the days of Lynda Carter as Diana Prince. The series was set in the 40s during WWII just like the comic book story and was a major success. Bally was the creators of the “Bullets & Bracelets” slot game back in 2018 and it’s fairly popular with its free spins and “Dynamic Lighting Effects”. And that’s the truth (without a lasso in sight).

Batgirl And Catwoman Slot Machine Gun

(Fun fact: Lynda Carter won Miss World USA as Arizona’s representative in 1972 and finished in the semi-finals of Miss World representing the USA.)
